Checking in on our customers
April 14th, 2020 by linda
As we begin week 4 of lockdown, we would like to check on our customers. We hope you are all keeping well and staying safe. We await news on Thursday 16th April to hear if the lockdown will continue or be relaxed, we are expecting to hear news of it continuing for a few more weeks yet but lets see what develops at Thursday news briefing.
We hope you are all staying safe at home and keeping well during this unusual time and finding things to keep you busy. Remember that theory study can be a good way to keep you on top of your driving knowledge and is something that can easily be done at home with various study materials and online resources. Sign up for free on our website to use our own theory test pro online resource, if not already done so. Watching videos can also be a beneficial way to keep your skills in mind, since you are not able to practice driving due to restrictions on movement, even going for a drive with family is not permittable at the moment at it is considered non-essential travel and people caught could be given a fine for doing so, so be careful not to break the current rules, if you do drive, ensure it is an essential trip and that you only drive as far as is necessary doing so.
Like and follow us on Facebook. If you haven’t already done so then like and follow us on Facebook to keep up to date on any news articles, we post frequent articles as we get them such as anything from DVSA regarding theory or practical tests, changes to the industry and when we receive it, news on when lessons and driving courses will start to resume again and news regarding the lockdown measures and social distancing rules currently in place.
As things stand we have pupils with practical driving tests booked for mid June onwards, so based on this and providing there is no changes to this we can anticipate a potential return to lessons from June time, but this will be subject to changes if the lockdown period extends past this time frame.
Theory tests at present are set to take place from 21st April and onwards, but again this is subject to lockdown measures being relaxed by that date. We are keeping all customers updated with test dates booked of any changes as we receive them but keep checking back either through Facebook posts or news updates here on our website for more information.
We are looking forward to getting back to teaching again as soon as is possible, it is a strange time for all driving instructors at present, cars sat not being used as normal, the normal working days replaced with endless time of rest and relaxation, something many instructors find hard to adjust to, many other industries also hit hard, especially most self employed business’s, some of which may never recover from this temporary shut down of business as normal. Here at Express, we are lucky enough to be able to ride the storm and get back to teaching once restrictions allow us to do so, but in the meantime we wish you all well and are thankful to our NHS workers for the great job they are doing in fighting this battle against covid-19.
Remember that driving courses and driving instructor training courses can still be booked, we are still open for new bookings even though the practical tests and dates in diaries cannot be confirmed, so if you are thinking of booking a course, don’t delay, book today. All bookings made will have dates confirmed as soon as we know when we can start booking lessons into diaries again and when practical tests can also be booked again too.
Stay safe, stay well, see you all again soon.
